The Committee will review the recommendations of the Governor's Health Task Force regarding maternal medical care and maternity care deserts throughout the State. The Committee will review the Task Force's proposals for possible legislation to be brought during the 2025 Budget Session.
The Committee will investigate strategies for improving access to emergency services including health care, obstetric and fire-rescue emergency services. The Committee will focus on emergency services available in rural Wyoming. The Committee will discuss how to develop a legislative plan to improve emergency medical services with sufficient funding.
The Committee will review the extent to which insurance companies use artificial intelligence to approve or deny prior authorizations for medical procedures or care and how the use of artificial intelligence impacts health care access for patients. The Committee will assess legislation passed in other states related to artificial intelligence use by insurance companies and improving the prior authorization process.

The Committee will study the effects of prescription drugs on the mental state of people and investigate the way circumstances surrounding events like murder and suicide are considered when addressing such events. The Committee will explore the use of toxicology reports to provide additional information regarding a murder, suicide or similar event.
The Committee will explore the extent to which traditional medicine is included in the health care system in Wyoming and what legislative strategies could improve access to traditional medicine. The Committee will also review the possibility of creating a naturopathic licensure process.
The Committee will receive reports from various agencies and departments. The Committee will consider legislation in response to agency and department reports. The Committee will review prior legislation, agency reports, stakeholder feedback, and relevant data to address any additional legislative concerns not covered by the above priorities.
