What does this bill do?

Amends the disposition process for property found on deceased persons during coroner investigations when there is no personal representative or claiming next of kin.

Requires the coroner to turn over money or property found on the deceased to the personal representative of the estate, or if none exists, to the clerk of the district court. Personal items valued under $50 and items necessary for the deceased's next of kin may be released directly to next of kin. (W.S. 7-4-207(b))
Establishes a process for disposing of unclaimed property: if there is no personal representative and next of kin do not claim the property within a reasonable time, the coroner shall sell the property at public auction or by other means adopted by the county. (W.S. 7-4-207(c), Sec. 1)
