WyoClear is committed to transparency — including about how we handle your data. The short version: we collect almost nothing, store even less, and never sell any data.
WyoClear does not collect personally identifiable information (PII). We do not use cookies, require user accounts, or store any user data in our database. Our database contains only publicly available Wyoming legislative data.
When you use the “Find My Legislators” feature, your street address is sent server-side to the US Census Bureau Geocoder API to determine your legislative districts.
Your address is used ephemerally — it is never stored in our database, never written to log files, and never shared with any other service. It is discarded immediately after your districts are determined.
We use Vercel Analytics for cookieless, privacy-friendly page-view analytics (page URL, referrer, browser, operating system, and country) and Core Web Vitals performance monitoring. No personally identifiable information is collected.
WyoClear is hosted on Vercel. As part of standard web hosting, Vercel processes server logs that may include IP addresses and user agents. This is handled by Vercel's infrastructure per their privacy policy.
The “Support WyoClear” donation button redirects you to a payment page hosted by Stripe. No payment data ever touches WyoClear's servers. Stripe handles all payment processing directly.
The newsletter signup link redirects to a form hosted by Kit (formerly ConvertKit). Email collection happens entirely on their platform — WyoClear does not collect or store email addresses.
Our database is hosted on Supabase. It contains only publicly available Wyoming legislative data (bills, votes, legislator information). No user data is stored in our database.
We use Anthropic AI models server-side in our data sync pipeline to classify bill topics. This processing happens entirely on our server — no user data is sent to Anthropic.
Your data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for profiling. WyoClear exists to make the Wyoming Legislature transparent — not to monetize your attention or personal information.
