Authorizes the administration of epinephrine through auto-injectors, nasal sprays, and any other federally approved delivery device or method, and requires rulemaking by state agencies.

• Expands the definition of epinephrine delivery methods to include auto-injectors, nasal sprays, and any other federally approved device or method for administering epinephrine, rather than limiting it to pens. (W.S. 35-4-902(a)(viii))
• Authorizes school district boards to acquire, maintain, and dispense stock epinephrine using any approved delivery method, and allows school nurses and assigned personnel to administer it to students experiencing severe allergic reactions. (W.S. 21-4-316(a), (b), (c))
• Requires the departments of education and health to develop guidelines identifying appropriate and acceptable epinephrine delivery devices and methods for managing students with life-threatening allergies. (W.S. 21-4-316(c)(i), (ii), (iii))
• Provides immunity from liability for schools, personnel, and authorized health care providers who administer, prescribe, or fail to administer epinephrine in accordance with the statute, except for gross, willful, or wanton negligence. (W.S. 21-4-316(d), (e), 35-4-906(a), (b), (c), (d), (e))
• Permits practitioners and pharmacists to prescribe epinephrine using any approved delivery method to individuals or entities without requiring a prescriber-patient relationship. (W.S. 35-4-903(a), (b))
• Allows practitioners to issue standing orders for epinephrine using approved delivery methods to entities that may need to administer it during anaphylaxis. (W.S. 35-4-904(a), (b), (c))
• Clarifies that the statute does not establish a duty or standard of care for persons to prescribe or administer epinephrine. (W.S. 35-4-905)
• Allows any person acting in good faith to administer epinephrine using any approved delivery method to someone appearing to experience anaphylaxis. (W.S. 35-4-906(a))
• Requires the departments of education and health and the board of pharmacy to promulgate rules necessary to implement the expanded epinephrine delivery methods.
