As part of the Select Committee's statutory purview under W.S. 28-11-601, the Select Committee will continue to host discussions and listening sessions with the Eastern Shoshone Tribe, the Northern Arapaho Tribe, tribal, State, and federal governmental agencies, educational institutions, and communities to address the services and needs on and around the Wind River Reservation.
The Select Committee will discuss policy frameworks that might guide relations between the Eastern Shoshone Tribe, the Northern Arapaho Tribe, and the State of Wyoming. The Select Committee will consider methods adopted by other states to achieve the same goal, including the Centennial Accord from the State of Washington.
The Select Committee will discuss and receive testimony regarding minors accessing alcohol from locations off the Reservation. The Select Committee will examine current criminal penalties and fines for providing alcohol to minors, as well as the consequences of minors accessing alcohol.
